The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Soldiers Group

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a diverse cast of heroes, and a gripping narrative including divine entities, fiends, and sinister influences increasing in influence within the city.

Heads-up: Spoilers for the third episode of this adventure lie ahead.

The Warrior Group Introduced

Episode 3 ended with a huge suspense moment and presented the first table of adventurers who will branch out from the main group to begin their independent quest, apart from the remaining groups.

This warrior group features the determined fighter (portrayed by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney), Wicander (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

With an extensive roster, it was obvious from the start that keeping everyone at the same party would be impossible.

That’s why, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Prelude, connecting the individual narratives before splitting into three separate parties: Fighters, Planners, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

As described by the DM, the combat-focused party is for players who prefer a traditionally charged battle-oriented story mode where diplomatic options are few and far between.

At first glance, figures such as the hesitant healer the cleric might look out of place, but the events of episode 3 show why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the party has a clear idea where to head next after a violent initial meeting with the enemy group.

Casimir of Thjazi—whose death started the story’s plot—manipulated the enemy for his selfish purposes, entering the hidden lair, attacking the rogue, and swiping all the enchanted items to auction.

The antagonist then settled his obligations and escaped to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, above the city, with Cyd pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each member has a individual motive to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and best friend, wants revenge.
  • The adventurer is familiar with Timmony and advises that it is a nasty environment.
  • The warrior and The healer, having resisted his relatives’ demands to eliminate the fighter and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their reputation as key figures in House Halovar could enable the party reach areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Additionally, The fighter vowed a eternal obligation to The savior for his rescue and will now go with him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are hunted by the powers that rule the setting for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind too risky:

  • The rogue and The character are known criminals.
  • The strong figure and The healer turned against the powerful family and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • Teor is marked for death by House Halovar.

This results in them few options but to head to the remote area in pursuit of Casimir.

What’s Next?

Based on episode three’s follow-up content, we find out that the combat party will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight participants to assemble the Questers and Schemers parties.

Fans can look forward to finding out which players will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, available to watch on October 24.
